Eclipse 2024

(As seen on TV – ABC Network)

The Sun looks down upon us and, embarrassed by the sorry state of humanity, it hides behind the Moon.

He thought, “Let’s show these insignificant beings what living in complete darkness feels like, even if just for four to five minutes.”

The path of total darkness
(Arizona was 65%, Georgia 80%)

Naturally, the TV stations, which bombard us with politics, wars, and trivial talk shows, saw this as the perfect opportunity to stage a spectacular show.

The seed was planted, and the American people, marveling at their own cleverness, began to organize. Unbeknownst to them, every move was orchestrated by the mighty Media, the true gods of manipulation.

Eclipse gatherings, eclipse trips, eclipse tailgating, and even Miss Eclipse 2024 celebrations took place. School bands saluted the eclipse; stadiums filled with spectators; couples planned eclipse-themed weddings and engagements. Live TV broadcasts covered the event extensively. Yet, during the actual eclipse, it was relegated to a corner of the TV screen, stamp-sized, while the reporter, in all his prominence, dominated the view, interviewing the happy, enthusiastic, and emotional crowd. For example, a lady reporter from somewhere in Mexico, surrounded by crowds, forgot that her microphone was on and she said: “Can you show me a little creepiness?”

In Burlington, VT, it was The Guy, the one who coordinated everything, the one who knew that it wasn’t about him.

As The Guy well said, the camera doesn’t do it justice. And the Halo, different colors, mind blowing.

The Sun reemerges from behind the Moon, looks down at us, and, still embarrassed by the sorry state of humanity, takes a deep breath and asks, ‘Do I really have to come back?’

In other places, like in Atlanta, my cousin was having eclipse-fun with the family…

…while in Arizona, our own Mircea Goia was taking, as usual, perfect pictures

It seems like the Sun is smiling now: “well humans, with some exceptions, you’re not too bad; we’ll try again in 2026.
Until then, make wise choices.”
